Good morning, Tiger Cub Families! We are excited to announce that our Beginning of the Year Tiggy Pictures will be taken next week! If you're interested in having your child's picture made with Tiggy, here is what you need to know:

1. Children in the following classes will have their picture taken, Wednesday, August 26: Ellisor, Perrow, Price, Queen, Hammond, Meadows, Steppe, Williams, Burns, Farris, Joiner, Nicholes, Nates, and Zearfoss

2. Children in the following classes will have their picture taken Thursday, August 27 (corrected from the order form): Copeland, House, McBride, Woods, Hampton, McGee, Sikes, Ulmer, Driggers, Miller, Lombr, Schwartz, Hathway, and Hutchison

3. Let the teacher know how many pictures you want to purchase.

4. Send $5 for each picture you would like to purchase.

Look who’s already becoming AUTHORS!

Our first week of school is off to a GREAT start, and our first graders are already hard at work as writers!

In their first writing unit, students are learning that they can write 3–4 sentences that make sense and tell a story about themselves. They’re practicing all those important writer skills—forming letters correctly, leaving spaces between words, using capital letters, and remembering that sentences need punctuation!

Take a peek at Mrs. Woods’ students putting their new writing skills to work! We love seeing our little writers learn, practice, and fine-tune their skills!
