📣🏴‍☠️ FIRST PTO MEETING OF THE YEAR! 🏴‍☠️📣

We’re kicking off the school year with our first PTO meeting on:

📅 Tuesday, September 8th
⏰ 8:45 AM
📍 Swansboro Elementary

This meeting will include volunteer training with Mrs. Wilsey! 💙

If you would like to volunteer in your child’s classroom or on field trips, volunteer training is required every school year.

📝 During training, you’ll also receive the paperwork needed for fingerprinting at the County Office, if required. Fingerprints must be updated every 5 years.

🌙 Can’t make the morning training?
No problem! A second volunteer training will be offered Tuesday, September 8th at 6:00 PM.

🚗 A QUICK PARKING REMINDER

For the morning meeting, please do not park in the drop-off lanes until student drop-off is complete. This helps keep morning arrival safe and moving smoothly.

You’ll need it to check in at the front office.

🏴‍☠️📚 HAPPY FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL, SWANSBORO PIRATES! 📚🏴‍☠️

Today we officially kick off another amazing year at Swansboro Elementary! 💙💛 We hope all of our Pirates have a fantastic first day filled with new adventures, new friends, big smiles, and lots of learning!

And parents—we need YOU! ❤️ Our school community is strongest when we all pitch in. Whether you have an hour to spare, can help at an event, volunteer in the classroom, donate supplies, or simply lend a helping hand when you can, there is a place for you in our PTO family!

Let’s work together to make this the BEST year yet for our students, teachers, and entire Swansboro Elementary community! 🏴‍☠️

Shout out to 1st Sergeant Chris Wilson and volunteers from the HQ Company 2nd Marine Regiment for volunteering to assist with morning arrival on our first day of school!

We are especially grateful for the time they took away from their own responsibilities to invest in our students. Their service to our country is deeply appreciated, and their willingness to extend that spirit of service to our local school community is an example of the commitment, teamwork, and leadership we hope to instill in our students.

Thank you for helping us make the first day of school a memorable and positive experience for our Swansboro Elementary family!

🎨🪨 RENT THE ROCK! 🪨🎨

Looking for a fun way to celebrate your child, birthday, special event, or just show some school spirit? Rent the Spirit Rock! 🎉

For just $15 per day, your family can decorate the rock with a special message and make a celebration extra memorable! 💙

🖌️ HOW IT WORKS:

1️⃣ RESERVE YOUR DATE
Choose the date you’d like to rent the rock. Your 24-hour rental begins at 5 PM the day before your reservation.

🎂 For example: If your child’s birthday is August 15, reserve August 15 and you can begin painting after 5 PM on August 14.

📅 Monday rentals: You may begin painting after 5 PM Friday and paint anytime throughout the weekend.

2️⃣ PAY FOR YOUR RESERVATION
Payment is due when your reservation is made. Reservations are first come, first served.

💰 Rental: $15/day

⚠️ Reservations will be removed if payment is not received within 7 days of making the reservation.

🚨 ROCK RULES

Please remember that the Spirit Rock is a school space. The following are not permitted:
❌ Profane words or symbols
❌ Derogatory or offensive messages
❌ Commercial advertising
❌ Political symbols or messages
❌ Religious symbols or messages
❌ No texture items on rock
