So grateful to have Ms. Brooke Hefner joining our office team at CHS!

This is my first time working in a school, and I couldn't be more excited to begin this new chapter! Previously, I worked at a large CPA firm downtown, where I worked closely with financial planning clients and gained valuable experience in organization, communication, and customer service. I also graduated with Highest Honors from AB Tech with an Associate of Applied Science in Office Administration. I'm grateful for the opportunities that have led me here, and I'm thrilled to be joining Community High School. I look forward to supporting our students, staff, and families and becoming part of such a wonderful school community!

✏️Thanks to our School Resource Officers and other friends from the Buncombe County Sheriff's Office helping to collect school supplies. Come visit them Saturday, Aug. 1 at the Wal-Mart on Airport Road in Arden as they pack the patrol car!

We are excited to welcome Cheryl Moore as EC teacher to CHS!

I am excited to be returning to the classroom for my 25th year in education, where I can connect my previous experiences to my unwavering commitment to student success. Throughout my career, I have served in diverse roles spanning from paraprofessional to district leadership, gaining invaluable insights into what it takes to support learners with exceptional needs. Now, I am excited to step into my new role as Exceptional Children teacher at Community High School.

My core passion is ensuring that every student develops the fundamental skills necessary to become independent, capable adults. I believe that meaningful education extends beyond academics—it equips students with the confidence and competencies to navigate life with purpose. My approach is rooted in practical, student-centered instruction that honors each learner's unique strengths and challenges. As I step back into the classroom, I bring not only my deep expertise in exceptional education but also genuine enthusiasm for making a real difference in my students' lives.
