👀👂👃👅✋ Five Senses Fun!

Our Pre-K friends in Miss Daysha and Miss Tiffany's class had so much fun exploring their five senses! We enjoyed a taste test and a yummy popcorn experience while using our senses to see, hear, smell, touch, and taste. 🍿😋

📚✨ Once Upon a Time in Second Grade… ✨📚

Our Second Grade students wrapped up their Fairy Tales and Tall Tales reading unit with a fun Dress-Up Day! 👑🐺🪓🏰

Students brought some of their favorite characters and stories to life as a culminating activity for the unit. What a fun way to celebrate all of the reading, learning, and adventures they’ve enjoyed along the way!

✨ And they all learned happily ever after! 📖💛

LABOR DAY WEEKEND | NO SCHOOL

Emanuel County Schools will be closed to students on Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day.

Tuesday, September 8 will be a Teacher Workday/Countywide Professional Development Day, and students will not report to school.

We hope our students, families and staff enjoy a safe and relaxing Labor Day weekend! ❤️🤍💙

Students return Wednesday, September 9.

🧡🥤 CRUSHing August! 🥤🧡

Miss Pattie and Miss Jessica’s 2nd grade classes celebrated CRUSHing August with great behavior with a special treat—a “dirty” Orange Crush and a cookie! 🍊🍪

These Tiny Tigers have worked hard to make good choices and start the school year off on the right foot. We are so proud of them for making August a great month! 🐯💛🖤

👀👂👃👅✋ Exploring Our 5 Senses in Pre-K! ✋👅👃👂👀

Miss Kelly and Miss Destiny’s Pre-K class had a week full of hands-on learning as they explored their five senses!

🍋 They put their taste buds to the test with a fun taste-testing activity featuring different types of foods.
✋ They went on a sensory walk, exploring different textures—including shaving cream and water!
🍿 And to wrap up their learning, they used all five senses to explore POPCORN!

Learning is so much fun when you can see it, hear it, smell it, touch it, and taste it! 🥰 Our Tiny Tigers had a blast learning through their senses! 🐯💛🖤

🍨🎉 August Behavior Celebration! 🎉🍨

Miss Cameron’s 2nd grade class celebrated their awesome behavior during the month of August with a sweet treat—ice cream sundaes! 🍦🍫🍒

🌱📊 Growing Our Math Skills! 📊🌱

Miss Barbara’s 2nd Grade class put their math skills to work with the Georgia Math Learning Plan “Class Garden!” 🌷🌻

Students worked collaboratively to gather data about the number and types of plants they would like to include in their class garden. They used their data to create a tally chart and then participated in a hands-on activity to turn that information into a picture graph and a bar graph! 📊✏️

To wrap up the activity, students reflected on their work and compared the different ways data can be represented. They discussed how picture graphs and bar graphs are different, how they can show the same information, and how data can be transferred from one type of graph to another.

We love seeing our Tiny Tigers working together, thinking critically, and making math meaningful! 🐯💛🖤
