For Abdul A. Walters, MS/Biomed ’16, DO ’20, RES ’26, the journey through PCOM has spanned more than a decade.
Since joining the "PCOMmunity" in 2014, he has earned degrees in biomedical sciences and osteopathic medicine, completed his general surgery residency, and been recognized for his dedication to service and leadership.
“Over the last 12 years, PCOM has offered me opportunities for growth I had only previously dreamed of.”
As he prepares to return to Georgia for a Surgical Critical Care and Trauma Fellowship at the Medical College of Georgia, one thing remains unchanged: he's made it through every stage of his training without a single cup of coffee. ☕️

Benjamin Jorgensen (DO ’29) always knew he wanted to become a physician. After working as a medical scribe and tutor while preparing for medical school, he found his way to PCOM Georgia and quickly discovered a community where he felt supported and welcomed.
“PCOM treated me like a human at every step of my application process,” he shared.
Today, Jorgensen is immersed in the study of osteopathic medicine and developing the skills needed to become a compassionate physician.

PCOM Georgia recently closed out our 20th anniversary year with a “Legacy in Bloom” celebration, a campus event reflecting on two decades of growth.
“Twenty years ago, this journey began in a very simple way … in an empty warehouse in Suwanee,” said President and CEO Jay S. Feldstein, DO ’81.
“Today, PCOM Georgia is home to future osteopathic physicians, pharmacists, physical therapists, physician assistants, biomedical scientists, and medical laboratory scientists.”

This Memorial Day, we honor and remember those who gave their lives in service to our country. We are grateful for their sacrifice and the legacy they leave behind.

In the days leading up to graduation, PCOM Georgia students across the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, Physical Therapy, and Pharmacy programs, and the Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences program celebrated milestones, achievements, leadership, and service during award ceremonies and the military pinning ceremony. 🎓

After witnessing firsthand how chronic illness can impact patients and families, Charday Norris, PharmD ’26, found her calling in pharmacy.
“Working alongside encouraging pharmacists throughout these experiences helped me realize pharmacy was more than a job—it was a profession where I could meaningfully support patients and their families,” Norris shared.
Now preparing for a future in neonatal pharmacy, Norris reflects on the experiences and mentorship that shaped her journey at PCOM Georgia.
