Yesterday was one of those really good days that reminded us of what can happen when community partners work together. Thanks to the partnership between WVU Braxton County Extension, Braxton County 4-H Junior Leaders, and Sutton Farmers Market, along with generous funding from People's Bank Foundation, we were able to provide West Virginia grown and harvested Golden Delicious apples to students at Little Birch Elementary and Burnsville Elementary. We put a little twist on our 4-H at the Farmer's Market program, and took the market to the schools. We loved seeing the smiling faces, hearing about plans for apple pies, and listening to students talk about sharing their apples with their families!
