Boys and girls soccer games and our volleyball game on Tuesday, 9/1 are OSAA Endowment Games.
Due to this, pricing for admission will be $8 for adults and $5 for students. A student is any child age 5 and up through a senior in high school. OSAA gold cards will be the only passes accepted.

Today, Sutherlin School District officially kicked off the 2026-2027 school year with our district-wide theme: All Means All.

This is more than a slogan. It is a multi-year commitment to our students, families, staff, and community. We believe every student matters, every voice matters, and every opportunity matters.

All five of our schools came together to learn from one another, grow as a team, and strengthen our shared commitment to serving every child. Over the next week, our teachers and instructional assistants will be preparing classrooms, participating in important trainings, and building a strong foundation for a successful year.

Join us Wednesday, September 2 from 5:00–7:30 PM for our 2026 Sutherlin High School Open House!

Come enjoy dinner, connect with our staff and community, and get ready for a great school year. Throughout the evening, students and families can:

> Explore clubs & programs — Learn about the many ways students can get involved at SHS.

> Connect with community partners — Discover valuable resources and opportunities available to students and families.

> Attend New Student Orientation — Incoming 9th-grade families and families new to SHS are invited to learn more about making a successful transition to our school.

> Learn about school safety — Join us for a brief presentation on our Standard Response Protocol and how we work to keep students and staff safe during an emergency.

> Meet your student’s teachers — Visit classrooms, meet our staff, and learn what to expect during the 2026–27 school year.

The first day of school is almost here! If your student is not yet enrolled, please complete registration as soon as possible. Early registration helps our schools plan class assignments, prepare classrooms, and ensure staff are ready to welcome every student.

📅 Important Start Dates

Monday, August 31: First day for students in grades 1, 2, 3, 6, and 9
Tuesday, September 1: First day for all students in grades 1–12
Kindergarten: Students will attend on an every-other-day schedule. Families will be notified of their child’s assigned schedule.
Tuesday, September 8: First day for preschool students

To be eligible for participation, each student-athlete must have a current physical on file and all Final Forms paperwork must be completed. Final forms can be accessed at www.sutherlin.k12.or.us/o/athletics.
