Today, Sutherlin School District officially kicked off the 2026-2027 school year with our district-wide theme: All Means All.

This is more than a slogan. It is a multi-year commitment to our students, families, staff, and community. We believe every student matters, every voice matters, and every opportunity matters.

All five of our schools came together to learn from one another, grow as a team, and strengthen our shared commitment to serving every child. Over the next week, our teachers and instructional assistants will be preparing classrooms, participating in important trainings, and building a strong foundation for a successful year.

We are energized, excited, and ready to welcome students back!

The first day of school is almost here! If your student is not yet enrolled, please complete registration as soon as possible. Early registration helps our schools plan class assignments, prepare classrooms, and ensure staff are ready to welcome every student.

📅 Important Start Dates

Monday, August 31: First day for students in grades 1, 2, 3, 6, and 9
Tuesday, September 1: First day for all students in grades 1–12
Kindergarten: Students will attend on an every-other-day schedule. Families will be notified of their child’s assigned schedule.
Tuesday, September 8: First day for preschool students

Please don’t wait until the last minute. Enrolling early helps us create a smooth, welcoming start to the school year for every student. We can’t wait to see our students back at school! ❤️📚

We are excited to start another great school year. This year, we are collecting a $15 per-student school supply fee. You can pay this fee at the West and East meet-and-greet by:

Check made payable to Sutherlin PTO
Card
West MEET and GREET is Wednesday, August 26th from 2- 4 pm.
East MEET and GREET is Thursday, August 27th from 2-4 pm.
Stop by the PTO table to pay the fee, say HELLO, and get a sticker! We will also have T-shirt order forms.
If you can’t make it to the meet and greet, no problem! A QR code for online payment will be sent out later. 🐾

Evergreen Family Medicine is hosting its annual North Country Wellness Event to help families prepare for the upcoming school year.

📅 Tuesday, August 11, 2026

Families may receive a free well-child check or sports physical for school-aged children. School-required immunizations will also be available during the appointment.

Insurance will be billed, but families will have no out-of-pocket cost.

This is a great opportunity to complete important back-to-school health needs in one convenient visit.
