About Me:
For those of you who don't know me, my name is Ms. Melissa, and I am the owner and operator of Bright Beginnings Childcare Services, LLC. I am also the photographer and chef of everything you see posted. (And activity-coordinator, maid, book keeper, social media manager...etc.) I am also a mom, bonus mom, home school mom, a wife, and college student! I decided to open my own in-home prog

ram in 2019, due to the lack of childcare in our area...And thanks to all of the sweet and adorable little ones I've watched over the years, I ended up falling in love with my job, and decided to make it a career. I am currently pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education. My goal is to gain knowledge, experience, and clientele rapport so that someday I may be able to operate my own center. I am a Registered Family Child Care Provider, located in Sutherlin, OR. Being an RF Provider means I am licensed for up to 10 children at any one time. Hi everyone! I’ve had quite a few new followers recently, so I thought I’d take a moment to introduce myself! I’m Melissa, the face behind Bright Beginnings Childcare Services. I’ve been providing childcare for about 7 years and am currently a Step 7 on the Oregon Registry, while also being a little over halfway through my degree in Early Childhood Education. I truly love what I do! I enjoy creating activities that encourage learning and development, getting outside and exploring, and preparing healthy, home-cooked meals. My goal is to create a warm, safe, nurturing environment where your little one feels loved, supported, and excited to learn and grow. My program is inspired by learning theories, such as Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and Waldorf!

You may notice our house looks a little “under construction” over the next few weeks while we tackle some home improvement projects. You may notice our porch decorations are gone, and there may be tools and random project supplies lying around. Don’t be alarmed if you see Toby on the roof (but don’t worry he’s not hiding or running away.) 🤭

* Hands on learning, including manners, routines, and self-responsibility — all in a nurturing and intentional home environment.
* Full Bellies from meals made with love, often made from scratch, using wholesome, organic ingredients whenever possible.
* Lower child ratios than what is required by State allowing more time and attention for each child in my care.
