We spent all summer caring for our garden, so naturally August was used to learn all about our farm fresh harvest! From the garden to the table, the kids were involved every step of the way! 🥒 🍆 🍅

This summer we did dinosaur themed activities that promote fine motor skill and STEM play. From potato stamp foot prints, a tape trap rescue, to watching a volcano explode! You can bet we learned a lot over summer break!! 🦖 🦕 🌋 🪤

Hi everyone! I’ve had quite a few new followers recently, so I thought I’d take a moment to introduce myself! I’m Melissa, the face behind Bright Beginnings Childcare Services. I’ve been providing childcare for about 7 years and am currently a Step 7 on the Oregon Registry, while also being a little over halfway through my degree in Early Childhood Education. I truly love what I do! I enjoy creating activities that encourage learning and development, getting outside and exploring, and preparing healthy, home-cooked meals. My goal is to create a warm, safe, nurturing environment where your little one feels loved, supported, and excited to learn and grow. My program is inspired by learning theories, such as Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and Waldorf!

Hello Families! 🦺 🚧
You may notice our house looks a little “under construction” over the next few weeks while we tackle some home improvement projects. You may notice our porch decorations are gone, and there may be tools and random project supplies lying around. Don’t be alarmed if you see Toby on the roof (but don’t worry he’s not hiding or running away.) 🤭

We promise to keep everything safe and tidy so it’s daycare friendly. Thanks for your patience! 🫶🏻

* Full Bellies from meals made with love, often made from scratch, using wholesome, organic ingredients whenever possible.
* Lower child ratios than what is required by State allowing more time and attention for each child in my care.
