🚲 PCA & St. Jude Trike-a-Thon ❤️

Phoenix Children’s Academy is excited to partner with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital for a very special Trike-a-Thon on Thursday, September 10th!

If you would like your child to participate, permission slips are available for you to sign.

🚲 Trike-a-Thon Details

On the morning of the event, we will have tents set up outside where you can park your child’s bike or trike. After morning drop-off, we will rope off the parking lot so our little riders have a safe, dedicated space to ride and have fun!

But the fun doesn’t stop there! Our Trike-a-Thon is also part of our Coins for Carson fundraiser supporting St. Jude.

🐷 Every Coin Counts!

Each classroom/program has its own fundraising goal. On the East Hall, you will find piggy banks and goal charts where you can watch our progress!

Our goal is for each program to fill its piggy bank 10 times between now and the end of September. Every coin, every donation, and every act of kindness brings us one step closer to helping children and families affected by childhood cancer.

If you would like to make a donation on behalf of your family and the PCA family, we will be sending information soon with details on how you can contribute.

💛 Keeping Carson’s Mission Alive 💛

Phoenix Children’s Academy and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital are teaming up to help raise money for childhood cancer research through a Trike-a-Thon at our school! 🚲💛 We will also be collecting donations to support the incredible work of St. Jude, where families never receive a bill for treatment, travel, housing, or food.

What makes this fundraiser especially meaningful to me, as your new Director, is a very personal connection I made at our Directors Conference in June. There, I had the heartbreaking privilege of meeting a mother who shared the story of her beautiful daughter, Carson, and her courageous battle with cancer. We learned about Carson’s diagnosis, treatment, and the incredible strength she showed throughout her journey.

During her treatments, Carson carried a little coin purse with her wherever she went. She collected coins everywhere she could because she wanted to donate them to St. Jude and help other children battling cancer. 💛

In honor of Carson, our PCA family is starting “Coins for Carson.” 🪙💛 We will be collecting coins and donations to continue the mission that was so important to Carson—helping other children and families who are facing childhood cancer.

It is an honor to help keep Carson’s mission alive, and I know our Phoenix Children’s Academy family will come together to make a difference. Every coin, every donation, and every act of kindness can help.

Ms. Joie and Ms. Bianca have been working hard to make sure our two-year-olds are learning that books are special! During story time, we are practicing how to hold a book gently, turn the pages carefully, and look at the pictures from front to back.

These little learners are discovering that treating books with care helps keep them beautiful so we can enjoy our favorite stories again and again! 📖✨

Preschool to Kindergarten Readiness Transition Day can be emotional—not just for our children and families, but for our teachers, too. As your little one takes this exciting next step, we are reminded of just how much they have grown.

Somewhere along the way, your child became our child in our hearts. 💕 We have watched them learn, laugh, grow, overcome challenges, make friendships, and discover who they are.
So while we are incredibly proud to see them ready for get ready for kindergarten, saying goodbye is never easy. We will always carry a little piece of them with us and cheer them on as they begin their next adventure.

Once your child becomes part of our classroom family, they are always part of our hearts. 🎓❤️

Our preschoolers are having lots of fun learning all about the letter A! As part of their hands-on learning, they are turning the letter A into a creative alligator work of art. 🐊✂️

The children are practicing their fine motor skills by tearing green construction paper and gluing the pieces onto their alligators. This fun activity helps strengthen little hands while encouraging creativity and reinforcing letter recognition.

As we begin the new academic year, our Kindergarten Readiness class is jumping right into learning! Our students are practicing their cutting and gluing skills while matching uppercase letters to their lowercase partners. 🔤💕

These hands-on activities help build fine motor skills, letter recognition, concentration, and early literacy skills—all while making learning fun!

🥔 Happy National Potato Day! 🥔

Our preschoolers had a mash-tastic time celebrating National Potato Day! They rolled up their sleeves, helped prepare delicious mashed potatoes, and, of course, enjoyed tasting their yummy creation.

It was a fun way to explore cooking, sensory experiences, teamwork, and following directions—all while enjoying a tasty treat together! 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳💛

This week, our Infants explored painting using different textured toys, creating a fun sensory and art experience. As they dipped the toys into paint and pressed, rolled, or dragged them across the paper, they discovered the different shapes, patterns, and textures each toy created.

This activity encouraged sensory exploration, fine-motor development, hand-eye coordination, and creativity while allowing the infants to experience cause and effect in a playful way. Most importantly, they had the opportunity to explore art through touch, movement, and discovery.

This month, our Preschoolers are focusing on the story, The Good Egg by Jory John and illustrated by Pete Oswald is a funny and heartwarming children’s book about kindness, self-care, and learning that you don’t have to fix everyone else’s problems.

The story follows a very good egg who lives with a dozen other eggs. While he is kind, helpful, and always tries to do the right thing, the other eggs are often mean, messy, and misbehave.

If you are not familiar with this story, we highly recommend reading it. The moral of the story is, it’s wonderful to be kind and caring, but it’s also important to take care of yourself, accept others for who they are, and understand that you are not responsible for fixing everyone’s behavior.

Every preschooler went home with an egg to decorate and create an egg in the image of themselves. We will be sharing these individual preschool eggs in class this coming week. Stay tuned....

🌟 Family of the Month – August 2026 🌟

We are so excited to celebrate the Lehman Family as our August Family of the Month! 💙

The Lehman family brings so much happiness and joy to our preschool family. Their two boys are always full of smiles, energy, and love, and it is wonderful to see how happy they are each day.

One of our favorite things about the Lehman family is their special family traditions. Friday night is pizza night! 🍕 What a fun way to end the week and spend quality time together. And their preschooler has a very sweet tradition of baking chocolate chip cookies! 🍪 We love hearing about these special moments that make family time so memorable.

Thank you, Lehman family, for being such a wonderful part of our school community. Your love, happiness, and family traditions are truly special. We are so lucky to have you as part of our preschool family!
