We're flying into the future. ✈️ Our new Aviation Academy puts students in the cockpit before they ever leave high school. In partnership with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, juniors and seniors can earn college credit, prep for the FAA written exam, and log hours on a Redbird FMX full-motion flight simulator, the same one used by professional flight schools nationwide.

Highland Prep is proud to introduce our new Assistant Principal, Mr. Andrew Enwiya!

Mr. Enwiya brings a wealth of experience in school administration, student support, athletics, and campus operations, all grounded in a passion for building positive school culture. A two-time Master's degree holder in Educational Leadership and Higher Education Leadership, he leads with purpose, accountability, and a genuine commitment to student success.

We are thrilled to have him join the Honey Badger family. Welcome, Mr. Enwiya!

Join us in celebrating Kennedy Pratt, Kylie Purtell, Mercy Biyi-Daniels, and Janaviah Gilmore for their incredible 3rd-place finish at the Division IV State Championship! They are the first girls in Highland Prep Surprise track and field history to both make it to finals, let alone medal at the divisional state championship! 🥉✨

Their performance is also the highest ever finish for a Highland Prep Surprise relay team at the divisional state championship.

This was the final race for seniors Kylie Purtell and Mercy Biyi-Daniels in a Honey Badger uniform, and it couldn't have ended on a happier note. They leave a strong foundation for the team that only exists because of their hard work and dedication.

It was an absolute privilege hosting Surprise Mayor Kevin Sartor and Councilman Patrick Duffy on campus last Friday to experience our brand-new, state-of-the-art aviation academy simulator firsthand. ✈️🙌

We are so proud of the aerospace program we are building here at Highland Prep, and it means the world to have our local community leaders invest their time in our students' futures.

Mandatory Attendance Week— May 18–22
Please be advised that May 18–22 is Mandatory Attendance Week. All students are expected to be present every day during this period, as absences can directly impact grades and course credit. We strongly encourage families to avoid scheduling vacations, appointments, or travel during this week. If you have concerns, please contact the office as soon as possible.

End-of-Course & Proficiency Tests— May 21–22
End-of-Course Tests for ELA, Math, and Science courses, as well as Engineering Proficiency Tests, are scheduled for May 21–22. These assessments count toward course grades for all students. Please make sure your student is present, prepared, and gets a good night's sleep beforehand.
