ACADEMIC LEARNING PODS are a great option for students who want the benefits of a classroom but thrive in smaller groups where all students receive a more personal learning experience. Students are encouraged to pursue excellence, take ownership of their educations, and become life-long learners. The Lessonologist strives to make learning a joyful endeavor for all children.

Our learners have fun while focusing on reading, writing, and math. The student-friendly learning space is located in Surprise (Sierra Montaña neighborhood) and is set up to promote collaborative learning between students and the certified teacher.

The learning pod meets from 8:00-11:00am Tuesday through Thursday.

JOIN A FUN SEWING POD in 2026! Beginning sewing classes for students in grades three through twelve are being offered by The Lessonologist.

Students enrolled in the 3rd-8th Grade Class will learn basic skills including getting to know the sewing machine, threading the machine, winding a bobbin, sewing straight lines, turning a corner, top-stitching and zig-zag stitching. Projects during the year may include a magic pillowcase, tote bag, pajama pants, t shirt, a squishmallow, an apron or other projects that interest students.

MIDDLE/HIGH SCHOOL INDEPENDENT PROJECTS is for students in 6th through 12th grades. Students without a sewing background will learn the same concepts taught in the 3rd-8th grade class and sew a magic pillow case during their first session. Students who have prior experience will choose projects with guidance from Pauline.

The Lessonologist is getting ready for sewing summer camps. Students in grades three through twelve are welcome to join in the fun! Students will learn basic skills including getting to know the sewing machine, threading the machine, winding a bobbin, sewing straight lines, turning a corner, top-stitching and zig-zag stitching. All students have access to a sewing machine and the tools needed to complete projects. Students provide their own fabric. Fabric information will be sent upon registration.

The following sessions are being offered:
Session 1 June 2-3 Magic Pillow Case
Session 2 June 9-10 Summer Tote Bag

All sessions meet from 9:00-1:30, and students bring lunch. Classes are held in Surprise (Sierra Montaña neighborhood).
