Spent a rainy Saturday experimenting with ingredients. Very happy with both finished products. Magnesium lotion with infused oil to soothe plantar fasciitis and Cocoa Butter cream with vanilla infused oil because I love the chocolate scent.

Finished! Yarn on left dyed with Calendula and Turmeric. Yarn on right dyed with Elderberries and Indigo Woad. I think I overheated the dye bath because the color changed from purplish to greenish. A fun learning experience. Merino Nylon sock yarn from Andy & Jeni .

Looks like my yarn will be more brown than blue, but no worries , it’s all a learning process.

I decided to ply my “Art Yarn” with mohair. Not because it needed to be plied, but I wanted to learn about the technique. I also improved on winding my yarn onto my spindle. This was fun to challenge myself and learn new techniques. This little bit of yarn will be saved so someday I can look at it and see how much I improved my skills.
