Good afternoon parents,

Coach Shankle here with a very important announcement regarding athletics AND grades. We have a new rule in place as of this morning for all BCS middle schools. Students' grades from the 4th nine weeks will be checked along with students' F1 grade. As long as students pass F1 "OR" Q4 they will be eligible at the start of the new school year. See below with the new BCS middle school eligibility update.

On Tuesday, rising sixth graders assembled for the 2026-27 run of Bullpup Camp at CGMS. What a great run it was! About sixty very well-behaved and excited kids explored the school in teams, met some of their teachers and colleagues, and enjoyed a pizza lunch. The Grove team thanks both students and their families for joining us!

As we prepare to welcome students back for another incredible school year, we want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Pastor Allen Murray and the wonderful congregation of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church for their generous donation of 75 backpacks filled with school supplies for our Cedar Grove Middle School students.

This generous donation was made as part of NC Baptist's ServeNC Service Week, a statewide initiative that encourages Baptist churches to serve their local communities through projects that meet real needs and make a lasting impact.

Because of your generosity, dozens of our students will begin the school year with the supplies they need to learn, grow, and succeed. Your investment in our students and school community is truly appreciated and is a wonderful example of the difference that community partnerships can make.

Thank you, Pastor Murray and the entire Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church family, for helping us continue Making Waves at Cedar Grove Middle School. Your kindness and support will have a lasting impact on our students and families.

Our Bulldog cheerleaders have been hard at work this week preparing for the upcoming football season! The team attended a private cheer camp at CGMS, hosted by the ECU cheerleaders. The team worked on cheerleading foundations, learned new stunts, and perfected sideline dances and cheers. We can’t wait to see them in action on the field this fall! Way to go, Bulldogs! 🐾❤️
