Scholar Power will be conducting a FREE College Prep Seminar tomorrow, September 29th at the CGIA Cedar Grove Community Building from 6:30-8 pm. In this seminar, students and parents will gain insight on how to be prepared for college. Topics covered will include how to find scholarship money, how to increase SAT scores, how to make sure the classes student take put them in the best position for college, how to choose a college that is right for the student, and how to gain admission into the desired college of choice. If you are a parent of a high school student who is planning to go to college, particularly high school freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors, this seminar will be a tremendous benefit. Scholar Power will be conducting it's first SAT Prep class of the school year on Saturday, September 19th in preparation for the October 3rd SAT. The session will be from 8:30 AM - 5 PM. Seats are limited and participants will be on a first come first serve basis. Inbox me for more details.

Scholar Power College Consultants will now be offering resume' building and interview preparation services. With these services, clients will have resumes prepared that are well crafted and loaded with what employers like to see. In addition, we'll teach folks how to present themselves as the desirable candidates that employees are looking for-from how to dress to what to say based upon the specific job. As a part of introducing this service, I will offer the resume building and interview prep services for FREE to the first five people who contact me with interest.

Tomorrow is the last day for late registration for the SAT being given on October 11th. The payment must be made online through the College Board website or over the phone.

If you are a high school junior and have plans to attend college it is recommended that you take the PSAT that will be given on Wednesday, October 15th. Students who make a 215 or higher in North Carolina are likely to become eligible to become a National Merit Scholar finalist. National Merit Scholars have the potential to go to college for free to over 300 colleges plus a stipend and free computer! Get with me for more details.

I will be conducting a SAT prep class this Saturday, September 27th from 8:30 am - 5:00 pm. The participants will be inside tips and techniques to help them do well on the SAT. Please text or call me for more information.

Just a reminder that today (Sept. 12th) is the final day for initial registration for the SAT slated to be given on October 11th.

Students planning to take the first SAT (given on October 11th) are to be registered by Friday, September 12th.
