CASDA is looking to hire a Children's Program Coordinator. This is a full-time position where the starting wage is $20.00 per hour.

Job Description: This job exists to coordinate and expand supportive services for child victims/witnesses of domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse as well as their non-offending parents or guardians and to collaborate with other area resources in an effort to provide quality, comprehensive services.

· Responsible to oversee the development and implementation of the Children’s Program in an effort to provide quality, comprehensive services to child victims/witnesses and non-offending parents or guardians.

· Responsible to provide direct services to child clients via the 24-hour help line, walk-in, ongoing, and/or residing within the shelter in accordance with CASDA’s mission aJnd philosophy.

· Responsible to collaborate with community resources to enhance the quality of services provided to child clients.

· Responsible to maintain regular and punctual attendance.

· Responsible to adhere to agency policy with regards to confidentiality.

Education and Experience:

Must have course work in child development, social work or education and/or a minimum of one-year experience working with children and knowledge of domestic violence and sexual assault dynamics.

Skills:

Ability to build positive relationships, adaptability, good communication skills, conflict resolution skills, good time management, personal and professional experience.

Required Qualifications:
● Master’s degree in Administration, Special Education, or a closely related field.
● Minimum of five (5) years of successful experience in school administration, special education
instruction, or related services.
● Possession of, or eligibility for, a valid School Administrator Certificate from the Michigan
Department of Education.
● Preferred: Supervisor of Special Education Approval per MARSE R340.1772(1) or temporary
approval under R340.1772(3). Alternative pathway consideration: Horizon Leadership Academy
(HLA) + Special Education (SE) (prerequisites apply).
