We are excited to welcome Emily Groves to The Link Center as our new Community Engagement Coordinator! 🐝

Emily is passionate about diversity, student development, and community building. Her previous professional experiences in Graduate Student Services, Multicultural Student Services, and Residence Life allow her to thrive in collaborative work environments with a variety of constituents. As a Senior Student Services Coordinator at the University of Virginia, Emily built intentional relationships with students, staff, and faculty to develop preexisting and new programs. Staying organized, while also being adaptable, is one of Emily's greatest strengths. She maintains multiple projects with overlapping timeframes by developing management plans with tangible action items and deadlines. Emily utilizes her strengths in relationship building and strategic thinking to intentionally build programs that fosters professional development in students and maintains strong relationships with community partners. As the Community Engagement Coordinator, she plays an instrumental role in building and managing foundational programs and partnerships in all four primary areas of The Link Center's work, which includes: community engaged learning, economic and workforce development, community relations, and fostering a sustained commitment to partnerships for the University. Within the Link Center, Emily brings her commitment to fostering a leadership environment that celebrates diverse perspectives and looks forward to maintaining relationships throughout the institution and within the Twin Ports community.
