We had the privilege of welcoming back some prior Cathedral Panthers as Seniors to celebrate them as a school as they prepare for their next chapter in life. ❤️

It is always special to see former students walk back through these halls and reflect on how much they have grown over the years. Watching them return reminds us just how quickly time passes and how proud we are of the young adults they have become.

As you begin this next journey, know that Cathedral will always be cheering you on. We wish you nothing but success, happiness, and new adventures ahead.

May God guide your path, bless your decisions, and be with you every step of the way. Congratulations, seniors — we are so proud of you! 🎓🙏

When students read aloud to their peers, they're building more than literacy — they're developing speaking skills they'll use for life. Our 4th graders and Middle Schoolers proved that through a cross-grade Reader's Theatre performance!

For the past 17 years, Mrs. Nielsen’s neighbor, Kim Culp, has generously brought a Tin Lizzie for our 5th graders to explore as part of our decades unit! This year, students had the opportunity to see a beautiful 1915 Tin Lizzie up close and learn just how different transportation looked over 100 years ago.

Some fun facts our students learned:

🚗 Many Tin Lizzies were started using a hand crank instead of a key!
🚗 Early windshield wipers were manually operated — sometimes drivers had to move them by hand!
🚗 Headlights originally ran on gas or acetylene before electric lights became standard.
🚗 The engine was simple by today’s standards, making repairs easier and allowing many owners to work on them themselves.
🚗 Many models had wooden wheels and wooden floorboards instead of the metal and materials we are used to today.

Thank you, Kim, for continuing this incredible tradition and helping bring history to life for our students year after year!

With the school year winding down the preschool is still finding fun ways to learn. This week we had a guest reader come in and teach us all about therapy dogs and the important roles they play in our community. Thanks Millie for coming to spend some time in our classroom along with your human.

The Kindergarten and 8th grade buddies took this beautiful sunny week to go outside and do some gardening! Together they picked weeds, prepped the soil, and planted green beans. We are so excited to watch these plants grow. ☀️🌱

Please Note: Due to quality issues (poor cellular signal), the original livestream of the 2026 Lumen Christi Award Ceremony did not turn out as hoped. A second camera was filming the ceremony, and that video has been subsequently uploaded here.

Welcome to the annual Superior Cathedral School Lumen Christi Award Dinner. Every year, an individual or couple is awarded the Lumen Christi Award in appreciation for their contribution in promoting Catholic Schools, and specifically, Superior Cathedral School. This year's award is being presented to Patricia Wildenberg.
