It was created so that its current team members, parents and fans can get all of their Spartan Baseball news as quick as the games end. It was also designed for former players, coaches and fans to stay involved and up to date with the current Spartan program. The Spartans are back on the diamond tonight at 4:30 vs Proctor. Tonight is senior Hudsen Helenius’ Strike Out Cancer Event for his senior project. All proceeds will be donated to the oncology department at Essentia for cancer research. JV game will follow the varsity game.

The Spartans are looking to put Tuesday behind them as they host Duluth Marshall this afternoon @ 4:30pm. There will be not be a JV game to follow.

The Boys in Blue capped off their 4 game week with a 18-8 win over Greenway Nashwauk/Keewatin in 6 innings. Absolutely everyone contributed in all 4 wins this week. Happy Easter, we’re back on Tuesday vs Duluth Denfeld.

Austin Edwards threw 5 great innings and Jayce Rue came in and shut the door as the Spartans take down the Rice Lake Warriors, 15-8. The Spartans hammered out 16 hits in the effort. Next game will start at approximately 4:00pm as they take on Greenway/Nashwauk/Keewatin.

We were able to get the varsity game in last night between storms. The Spartans got another 💎 of a performance on the mound, this time from Carter Gilbertson. He went 6 innings giving up only 2 hits while striking out 5. Dawson Ahlborg came in and shut the door, completing the second consecutive shutout. Final score: Spartans 7 Lumberjacks 0. Short turn around as the Spartans are back at it this morning at 11am vs Rice Lake. JV games today have been cancelled today.

Schedule change: the JV game for tonight has been cancelled due to the looming weather this evening. A makeup date will be announced once it’s set. The varsity game has been pushed up an hour to 3:30pm.

Tonight, our C-team makes its season debut with a doubleheader vs. Duluth East starting at 4:30. These guys have been chomping at the bit to get going!

Varsity guys got it done last night by a final score of 3-0. Calvin Anderson threw a 💎 going the distance allowing only 2 hits and striking out 6. He also had a run scored while hitting a triple at the plate. Next action for the boys in blue is this Thursday, when they welcome the Lumberjacks from Cloquet High School.

Apologies for the hiatus. The Spartans were busy over the weekend. We traveled to the Milwaukee area and played 3 very formidable opponents in Grafton, Cedarburg and West Allis Hale. We battled but took 3 tough losses. Looking to bounce back today vs Duluth East at home. First pitch at 4:30 with JV to follow.

The Spartans got their first win on the season in come back fashion 6-5 over Grand Rapids. The JV boys lost the night cap 10-6. Both teams are back at home on Thursday as the Duluth East Greyhounds come across the bridge. Games times are 4:30 and 6:30.
