2026 - 2027 SBA Travel Team Tryout Registration

Dates & Eligibility

Boys: Thursday, September 3, 2026
Girls: Thursday, September 10, 2026
Location: Superior Middle School (SMS)
Grades: 4-8 (Must be a Superior student to try out)

Schedule & Fee

Grades 4-6: 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM (Parent informational meeting during the tryout)
Grades 7-8: 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Fee: Tryouts are FREE. Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in at the registration table. Bring your own basketball with your name on it.

Pre-Registration

To register, email [email protected] with "Travel Team Tryouts" in the subject line and include:

Player's full name, grade (2026-27), and gender
Parent/Guardian names, cell phone numbers, and email addresses

Post-Tryout Information

Rosters will be posted on the SBA website by September 13, 2026. If a player is not placed on a travel team, SBA House League and Mini-Ballers registration will open in October via email notification.

If you are interested in coaching a boys 7th grade SBA travel basketball team for the upcoming season, please fill out the attached application and return it to me by Friday, August 21, 2026.

Please keep the following details in mind:

Requirement: Applications must be completed by all prospective head coaches and assistant coaches.
Interviews: If there is more than one head coach applicant for a specific grade level, interviews will be held on August 26th.

Join the Superior Spartan Youth Basketball Summer Skills Workouts. Train like a pro with sessions led by the Superior High School coaching staff, plus guest college coaches and players.

The Details:

Dates: June 16, 18, 23, 25 & July 7, 9
Grades 1st - 4th from 6 - 7pm
Grades 5th - 8th from 7 - 8pm
Cost: Only $40 for all 6 sessions!
Focus: Mastering ball handling, passing, and the power of teamwork.
Bring: A basketball, water bottle, and a positive attitude!Location: Workouts will be held at Superior High School
