⚽🏐 TJ Boys’ Soccer and Girls’ Volleyball have wrapped up their 2026 seasons! Both teams showed teamwork, determination, and Titan spirit throughout the season, building skills and friendships while having plenty of fun along the way.

👏 A big thank-you to our dedicated coaches for their guidance and encouragement: Maria Burr ’P31 and Alex Shornick ’17 (soccer), and TJ faculty members Marie De Jesus and Dr. Michele Asuni (volleyball).

☕ Today in AP Modern World History, students created their own European Enlightenment-style coffeehouse to discuss excerpts from Immanuel Kant’s 𝘎𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘔𝘦𝘵𝘢𝘱𝘩𝘺𝘴𝘪𝘤𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘔𝘰𝘳𝘢𝘭𝘴 (1785) and 𝘖𝘯 𝘢 𝘚𝘶𝘱𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘙𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘛𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘓𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘉𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘷𝘰𝘭𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘔𝘰𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘴 (1797).

💬 Students were skeptical of Kant’s arguments, sparking lively discussion and debate. Tomorrow, they’ll explore more primary sources from David Hume, Thomas Paine, and William Paley. 📚

☀️ A beautiful day for TJ's Open House!

We welcomed dozens of prospective families to campus for an afternoon of tours, conversations, and a firsthand look at life at TJ!

Our students helped make the day a success by leading tours, serving on panels, hosting information tables, and joining prospective students in mock classes. Families also had the opportunity to meet our faculty and current parents.

🍪 And, of course, no visit to TJ would be complete without our traditional cookie break!

🎨 It was supposed to be erased. Instead, it was saved for 46 years.

In 1980, Dolores Miller created “The Peaceable Kingdom” in chalk on a classroom chalkboard in Dixon, Missouri. She had created and erased other drawings before, but this time the principal wouldn’t let her erase it. The section of chalkboard was preserved behind plexiglass and framed.

Now, 46 years later, it has a new home in TJ’s Art Barn 🖼️—and a special connection to our community. Dolores was the grandmother of Head of School Mrs. Roth, the mother of faculty member Dr. Miller and the great-grandmother of Orli ’29.

From one school to another, “The Peaceable Kingdom” is still being shared with students nearly half a century later. 💙💛

Congratulations to Roy ’28! 🏆 Roy traveled to London to attend the John Locke Institute Global Essay Prize ceremony, where he received a High Commendation in Economics. The awards ceremony was held at Grosvenor House in London.

We’re proud to see a TJ student recognized on the global stage for his academic achievement. Way to go! 👏🙌
