Loved seeing this beautiful example of Social-Emotional Learning in action during a recent classroom walkthrough. 🌈

This “How Do You Feel?” board provides students with visual supports to identify emotions and concrete strategies to regulate — deep breaths, counting, sensory tools, drawing, asking for a hug, and more.

When classrooms intentionally teach emotional awareness and self-regulation, students build lifelong skills.

So proud to see best practices like this supporting our learners every day. 💙✨

Supporting autistic students doesn’t have to feel overwhelming.

In this episode of Autism Elements, we focus on how small, intentional shifts—not perfection—can make a meaningful difference in real classrooms. We talk about predictability, behavior as communication, and why regulation comes before expectation.

This episode sets the tone for the podcast and is perfect for educators who want practical support without pressure.

🎧 Start here if you’re feeling overwhelmed or unsure where to begin.

Weekly Motivation

In Special Education, we learn that the most valuable lessons often lie beyond the surface. These students teach us about empathy, resilience, and the importance of connecting on a deeper level.
