As the school year comes to a close, Broward County Public Schools is implementing additional safety measures to help keep campuses safe and focused for students and staff.

From Friday, May 29, through Wednesday, June 3, backpacks and bags will not be permitted on school campuses.

Families, please help students prepare by returning school materials and following campus guidelines. For questions or special circumstances, please contact your school directly.

We are getting close to the end of the school year. Starting on Friday, May 29th, through the last day of school, June 3rd, backpacks and tote bags will not be allowed on our campus.

Discovery Elementary has officially been designated a No Place for Hate® school for the 2025 to 2026 school year!
This recognition reflects your school community’s dedication, compassion, and hard work in creating a more inclusive and respectful environment for all. We are so proud to celebrate this achievement with you and grateful for your commitment to making a difference.

School uniforms are mandatory at Discovery Elementary School, and our dress code policy will be enforced. Shirts must be turquoise, gray, black, or white. Bottoms may be black or khaki. Uniforms can be purchased from our vendor, In Unison School Apparel, located at 2085 N. University Dr., Sunrise, FL. (www.inunisonkids.com). Sagging pants, tights, and crocs are NOT allowed. Solid color jeans and denim shorts with Discovery Elementary spirit shirts are allowed on Fridays only.

1st Offense - Warning/Letter
2nd Offense - Change of Clothes
3rd Offense - Detention
4th Offense - Internal Suspension

Get Ready for the 26/27 school year now! This year is quickly coming to a close and it has been great. We want to help you get organized for the new school year, so here are the supplies that students will need for the 26/27. Take your time and find all of the great bargains.
