Envelopes are coming home with students today for the Laker Discount Card Fundraiser! The Camdenton Laker Athletic Boosters are sponsoring the Discount Card Program that will run through September 17. Students can sell cards to family and friends to help support the Camdenton R-III School District. 100% of the net proceeds go to help our schools!

Please turn in your envelopes by Thursday, September 17, and make sure your student's name is written clearly on the envelope.

Tomorrow morning, the Laker team will kick off the school year!

All district and building offices will be closed while our entire staff comes together for our annual All-Employee Meeting. All offices will reopen around 10:30 AM for normal operations.

Welcome to HDE, Ms. Paitz!

🌟NEW TEACHER SPOTLIGHT🌟

We are excited to welcome Chelsey Paitz to Hurricane Deck Elementary as a new teacher! Chelsey brings 14 years of teaching experience to our district.

Chelsey recently relocated to the area from North Kansas City. Outside of school, she adores her two dogs, Dakota and Dixie, and spends time volunteering at local animal shelters to walk and play with the dogs. A big fan of swimming, she loves being able to swim in the lake. Chelsey is also an avid fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and Nebraska Cornhuskers, loves all things Disney, flamingos, and dinosaurs, and counts McDonald's and crab legs as her top favorite foods!

Fun Fact: Chelsey traveled to Germany, Austria, and the Czech Republic to sing with her high school choir!

Welcome, Mrs. Allen!

🌟NEW TEACHER SPOTLIGHT🌟

We are excited to welcome home Juli-Anne Allen, who will be starting her teaching career as a 1st-grade teacher at Hurricane Deck Elementary!

Juli-Anne was born and raised right here in Camdenton. It has been a big year for her. She married her husband last November, and they recently bought their first home! They share their lives with two dogs (soon to be three!), a Golden Retriever named Honey and a Mini Australian Shepherd named Ottis. Outside the classroom, Juli-Anne enjoys reading, connecting with others, spending quality time with friends and family, and prioritizing self-growth.

Fun Fact: Juli-Anne holds a degree in Literature.

Laker Back-to-School Update!

All Camdenton building offices are now open and ready to help!

If you have completed Online Registration, teacher assignments and class schedules will be available in the Parent Portal on August 14, after 4:00 PM. **If you have not completed your OLR, you will not have access to view your teachers or schedule.

If you are new to the district and have not yet enrolled your student(s), you may come to enroll in person with our District Registrar at Central Office, or you may contact her at (573) 317-3408 ext. 8214. (If you have a student who will ONLY attend Osage Beach Elementary or Hurricane Deck Elementary, you may enroll your new student in the building office.)

Excited to have you, Ms. C!

🌟NEW TEACHER SPOTLIGHT🌟

We are excited to welcome Addison Calderon as the new elementary music teacher for Osage Beach Elementary and Hurricane Deck Elementary! Addison joins our district with one year of teaching experience after recently completing her first year in Kansas City.

Originally from a very small town in Kansas, Addison is thrilled to return to a close-knit school community that feels like home. She has dreamed of becoming a music teacher since she was in elementary school herself, so sharing her passion for music with students every day is truly a dream come true. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with her dog, playing board and card games, and hanging out with friends.

Fun Fact: Addison has had her dog for 13 years, ever since she was in 7th grade.
