From School of Rock AllStar to sharing a rooftop with Ed Sheeran— Eric Cohen’s journey is the kind of story that keeps our community inspired.

Last week, Eric appeared in Netflix’s One Shot, playing pedal steel on “Shivers” during the show’s cinematic rooftop performance. The special follows Ed Sheeran through New York City in one continuous take, capturing real moments, real music, and one unforgettable cameo from a School of Rock alum and instructor.

Eric first walked into School of Rock South Hackensack at age 13, later earning a spot in the 2005 AllStars lineup. After graduating, he returned as an instructor at School of Rock Waldwick, pouring his talent and energy back into the next generation of musicians.

Seeing him shine on such a global stage is a proud moment for all of us—and a reminder of what can happen when young musicians grow up in a community that champions creativity, confidence, and performance.

Huge congrats, Eric. Keep making waves.

House Band is made up of School of Rock's top students, the “best of the best," and act as ambassadors to their respective schools. Students adhere to the highest standards, allowing them to strive for excellence musically, professionally, and socially.

A bit of a late post, but we had an amazing time getting out in the community at the Sunnyvale Art & Wine Festival (June 7/8) and letting everyone know School of Rock Sunnyvale is COMING SOON! We were busy all day Saturday and Sunday with hundreds of kids rocking out in the Shred Shed!

We even got a visit from the Mayor, thanks to a special friends of ours!
