“Taking it back to the classics for National Play Outside Day with chalk art🎨! The children used their creativity to fill in the ‘stained glass’ pattern and also incorporating letter recognition in the spaces they colored. Some even took it upon themselves to write their names! 🤗” -Teacher Kedy

Exploring the magic of primary colors! 🎨🧪
Our little scientists have been busy mixing, pouring, and discovering how colors come to life! They explored cause and effect while strengthening their fine motor skills with droppers and pouring tools. 💧✨
Moments like these build the foundation for early science learning by curiosity, experimentation, and joyful discovery.

Did you know Early Horizons has an American Red Cross Instructor on site? 🚑💨
Our teachers were “all heart” during our in-service training! ❤️ We went above and beyond the minimum state requirement (of just one certified staff member) to ensure ALL regular full-time staff are CPR, AED, and First Aid certified. 🎓✨
Safety isn’t just a requirement for us; it’s our top priority. Our team is ready, trained, and empowered to keep your little ones safe every single day! 🤝🌟

Our little gardeners cared for the plants today! 🪴 Using spray bottles, children misted the leaves and watched the water settle onto the greenery. This activity strengthened fine motor control and coordination while encouraging children to take part in caring for their environment and observing how living things grow. 🌿💧

Math in the sunshine! ☀️ Children scooped and counted beans into numbered containers during outdoor sensory play, practicing one-to-one correspondence and number recognition while strengthening their fine motor coordination and control. Inspired by Waldorf, Montessori, and Reggio Emilia approaches, this experience encouraged learning through play with natural materials, hands-on exploration, child-led discovery, and meaningful connections with the outdoor environment. 🌿🔢
