The Sunnyvale Middle School PTSA is looking for a 6th Grade VP for the 2026–27 school year!

This role helps support and represent 6th grade families, welcomes new students to SMS, and serves as a bridge between 6th grade families and the PTSA.

No PTA experience is required—we'll help you every step of the way!

It's a wonderful opportunity to meet other parents, support students, and help create a positive middle school experience for our newest Spartans.

The 8th Grade Promotion Party is quickly approaching, and we need your help to make this a memorable celebration for our students!

We are looking for wonderful 6th and 7th grade parent volunteers to support the event. This is a great opportunity to connect with other families, support our school community, and help create a special night for our 8th graders. In the future, families will do the same for your student’s promotion celebration - that’s what makes SMS such a strong community.

✔ No prior experience required — we’ll help you learn!

This is a great role for someone who is organized, thoughtful, and wants to support our school community in a meaningful way — without a huge time commitment.

An incoming 6th grade parent is hosting a meet and greet for anyone interested. (Note: This is not a PTSA-sponsored event.)

TONIGHT: The Sunnyvale Middle School Drama Club Presents "Dorothy in Wonderland" in the SMS theatre. Doors open at 5:40pm. Show starts at 6pm. Tickets are free; donations are greatly appreciated.
