We specialize in Bollywood, Hip-Hop, Contemporary, Fusion, Jazz, Salsa, Garba, Semi-classical and various other dance forms and fitness classes, Wedding Choreography. Even with no formal training, Mahi was not privy to various dance forms such as Jazz,Latin, Hip Hop, and contemporary. To hone his dance skills further, Mahi joined the renowned Shiamak Davar School of Performing Arts in India. He wa
s quickly propelled to the SPB(Special potential Batch) Group at Shiamak’s elite school, and became a Bollywood dance whiz. Mahi performed at a number of events including the inaugural ceremony of the ICL Cricket World Cup. Following this, Mahi took Salsa lessons from the most sought-after SALSA freak – Edie, and is one of the few Indians internationally to have gained SALSA certification. While learning Salsa, Mahi was acquainted with the modern dance form called “Aerial Dance” Following this, Mahi learned the ancient Indian martial-art dance form of KalariPayattu from Attakalari and Mr. Pradeep from Xtacy, Kerala. Mahi had a brush with Reality TV when he got an offer to participate in the Indian version of “Dancing with the Stars” which was aired on Suvarna TV channel (a subsidiary of STAR TV India). Mahi was the semi-finalist on this show which was judged by the “Michael Jackson of India”– Prabhudeva. The show also paved the way for several other offers of lead roles in TV serials,Choreography to other reality shows and the movies. Mahi’s creative interests and pursuit of new goals saw him coming to the United States to pursue studies in Filmmaking at the San Francisco school of Digital Filmmaking which is one of the best film schools in the bay area. He assisted with, and also directed many short films. After the short stint in film-making, Mahi decided to go back to his first love – Dance, and share his passion for dance by choreographing and teaching. His students have performed at a several local events, and have won accolades. Mahi’s mantra is “Dance like no one is watching!” and "Dance is a nonverbal Language, a culture and a medium to communicate with other soul and every human has it."
