🌟 Employee Spotlight: Arminda – Center Manager 🌟

Arminda has dedicated more than 33 years to serving children and families, inspired by her own experience as a migrant child arriving in the United States at age 12. Since joining IDC in 1994, she has served in various roles, including Infant/Toddler Teacher, Lead Preschool Teacher, CAA, and, since 2016, Center Manager.

She finds the greatest reward in seeing former students succeed, building lasting connections with families, and supporting children, families, and colleagues. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, watching movies, walking, and dancing with her grandchildren.

🌟 Meet the Team: Elsa Lopez 🌟

With nearly 10 years of Head Start experience, Elsa is passionate about supporting the programs and services that make a difference for children and families. 💙

As our Director of Grants, Elsa works closely with teams across the organization to help secure funding and ensure our programs have the resources they need to succeed and grow.

Fun fact: I enjoy staying active with StarCycle, Pilates, and hiking. One of the most challenging hikes I’ve completed recently was Colchuck Lake.

💙✨ Wellness Day Fun at Our Basin City Center! ✨💙

Our Basin City team traded their desks/classrooms for some fun and relaxation during Wellness Day! The day kicked off with a delicious breakfast of chilaquiles and waffles, followed by lots of laughter during games like Water Hot Potato, Color Stack, and more. 🌈😄

To finish the day, staff got creative with paint-by-number canvases and enjoyed a little self-care with relaxing face, hand, and foot masks. 🎨💆‍♀️✨

A huge thank you to our amazing Basin City team for bringing the energy, smiles, and teamwork that make our center such a great place to be. 💙

After many years without a permanent home in Lynden, we can finally say: we have one!

Today marks a very special milestone for Inspire Development Centers as we officially open our doors and put down roots in the Lynden community.

We are deeply grateful to the staff, partners, supporters, and everyone who helped make this dream a reality.

Thank you for believing in this vision and helping us reach this moment.

Having a permanent home in Lynden means even more opportunities to serve local families, build meaningful relationships, and strengthen our community for years to come.

Lynden, thank you for welcoming us. We're proud to call this community home, and we look forward to growing alongside you.

Our Basin City Center was full of creativity, laughter, and some seriously wild hairstyles during Crazy Hair Day! From colorful creations to silly styles, our children had so much fun showing off their unique looks and personalities.

Families enjoyed the Parent Advisory and Fatherhood Celebration, where they learned positive redirection techniques, played games, shared a meal, and danced the night away with their children! 🕺💃✨

This new center means more families in the Lynden community will have access to quality early learning, family support services, and resources right here in Lynden. We’re honored to be part of this community and look forward to growing alongside the families we serve.
