📚🐯 Here’s to that wonderful feeling when everyone is completely engrossed in the same book! ❤️ There’s something special about sharing a story, getting lost in the pages, and watching a love of reading grow. 📖✨

Awesome behavior in Q1 calls for an AWESOME celebration! 🥳🧸💤💖

Miss Blackburn’s kindergarteners worked so hard throughout their first quarter and earned a Pajama & Stuffy Party! 🌈✨ We spent the day learning, moving, creating, and having lots of fun with our favorite stuffed friends!

🧸 Stuffy Show & Tell
🧘 Stuffy Yoga & a Stuffy Workout
💃 Stuffy Dance Party
✏️ Designing our stuffies their very own pajamas
📚 Teaching our stuffies how to read
🎨 Coloring our very own sleep masks to take home

We couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate all of the hard work, learning, and awesome choices these kindergarteners have made during Q1! 💕🍎

🌧️📚 A rainy day is the perfect day for reading!

Mrs. Sterwerf used the rainy weather as an opportunity to practice Sustained Silent Reading. Students chose a reading tool and found a cozy spot around the room to enjoy their books. ❤️

We are learning to tell a story using the pictures, look for heart words and letters we know, and even stretch out sounds to try reading some of the words in our stories! 📖✨

October is National Principals Month, and we are proud to recognize the outstanding school leaders who serve the students, staff, and families of Sunman-Dearborn Community Schools! 👏

Great schools have great leaders. Our principals and assistant principals set the tone in their buildings each day by supporting our teachers and staff, building strong school cultures, maintaining high expectations, and always keeping students at the center of their work.
