Sundown City Library and Sundown ISD working together. Here are a few examples.

Mrs. Goodman took her Plant and Soil classes to the library to tag Monarch Butterflies.

In September, Mrs. Torrez brought her Spanish classes to the City of Sundown Library to explore the new Espanol collection. Special thanks to Assistant Library Director, Gwen Buchanan, for being awarded the Texas Book Festival grant of $2,500.

Mrs. Rodgers' fashion class helped assemble the Clothing Swap and also received a short upcycling sewing lesson from Ms. Francis Argumedo.

Sundown 4-H President Addie Hord, Secretary BreAllyn Griffith, and County Council Delegate Adleigh Perez attended the Hockley County Commissioners Court this morning to help officially declare this as National 4-H Week in Hockley County. An official proclamation was made, and they were able to introduce themselves to the Court and speak about the benefits of 4-H. It was a great experience for these 4-Hers!

October 8th is World Dyslexia Day! On Thursday, go red for dyslexia!
Dyslexia doesn't define a child's potential, it simply means they may learn and process information differently. We have a wonderful community of learners with dyslexia and we want all students to feel celebrated!
The Go Red campaign seeks to use red as a symbol of boldness and creativity to celebrate our dyslexic community!
