📸 TOMORROW IS SCHOOL PICTURE DAY! 📸

It’s time to say CHEESE! 😁📷 Our Little Bulldogs will be putting on their best smiles tomorrow for School Picture Day!

Order packets were sent home with students on Monday, August 24th. There is NOT an online ordering option so if you wish to order school pictures, make sure to send the order form to school with your child. Extra packets are available in the school office.

And just like that…Fall athletic events are kicking off (and HS golf continues!)! 🏐🏃‍♀️🏈 The season is getting underway, and we’re ready to cheer on our Bulldogs from the littlest athletes to our big-school crew!

Have you ever wondered who is behind some of the fun happening at Sundance Elementary? 👀 Meet your Parent Involvement Committee (whom we like to refer to as PIC)!

PIC is a group of parents who believe that when school + home work together, our Little Bulldogs thrive! The goal is simple: support the amazing students and staff by creating family events, sponsoring school activities, and helping provide resources that make Sundance Elementary an even better place to learn and grow.

And guess what? We want YOU to be a part of it!

📣 Our first PIC meeting of the 2026-2027 school year is on Tuesday, August 25th, after school, in Mrs. Garoutte's Kindergarten classroom!

The monthly meetings are:
🐾 Short & sweet — usually about 30-45 minutes
🐾 Held after school in Mrs. Garoutte's classroom
🐾 Open to ALL parents and families
🐾 Student-friendly — your kids are welcome!
🐾 A great way to hear what’s happening and share your ideas

Every little bit helps—and the more families who get involved, the more PIC can do for our Little Bulldogs! 🐾❤️ Can’t make a meeting? No worries! Meeting minutes are available after meetings on the PIC page, shared here on ParentSquare, and on the elementary webpage.

Fall is coming… and you know what that means: FOOTBALL! 🏈🔥 Time to lace up those cleats and get ready for some football action! 🐾

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Sibling Pictures: Siblings are welcome to come in for photos from 7:30–8:30 AM!

The backpacks are packed, the nerves are kicking in, and our Little Bulldogs are ready to ROAR into a brand-new school year! 🐶📚✏️ Before we kick off the first day tomorrow, here’s your friendly reminder about our special schedule:

🗳️ Due to the Wyoming Primary Election, school will begin at 10:00 AM for students.
🚌 Buses: All bus routes WILL run, but 2 hours later than their normal times.
🍎 Breakfast: No breakfast will be served tomorrow, so please plan accordingly!
🏫 Dismissal: We’ll end the day at our regular time — 3:50 PM!

We can't wait to see all those smiling faces tomorrow! Let’s make it a GREAT first day, Little Bulldogs! ❤️🐾 New year. New adventures. Same Bulldog Pride! 🎉

🏈🏃‍♀🏐 JUNIOR HIGH FALL SPORTS ARE COMING!

Get ready, Bulldogs! Fall sports practices are just around the corner, and we can't wait to see our athletes in action! 🙌

📅 First Practices & Parent Meetings:

🏃 JH/HS Cross Country: Aug. 17 — 7:30 AM | Parent Meeting: 5:30 PM, SHS Commons

🏈 JH Football: Aug. 17 — 6:30 AM, Sundance Practice Field | Parent Meeting: 5:30 PM, Room 101

🏐 JH Volleyball: Aug. 17 — 9:00 AM, SHS Gym | Parent Meeting Aug. 18th, 5:30 PM, SHS Commons

✅ IMPORTANT: All athletes in grades 6–12 must have a completed physical before participating in any sport. Physical forms are available at ss.crook1.com under the Athletics tab.
🧠 SWAY Testing: Students must complete baseline SWAY (concussion) testing Aug. 3–14. Testing information and codes were sent through ParentSquare on Aug. 3. Incoming 6th graders should complete the test with a parent/guardian or schedule a time to complete it with Vicki.

Our SES K-6 After School Program is back for the 2026-2027 school year! This staff-led program is open to all K-6 students and combines learning support with awesome enrichment opportunities.

✨ What’s in store?
📚 Homework help — including a homework-specific room!
🎨 Fun, teacher-planned enrichment activities
🧠 Extra opportunities to learn and grow
🍎 Snacks provided
🐾 A great place to learn, create, connect, and have fun!

🕓 When: Starts Monday, August 24th, Monday–Thursday, 3:50–5:00 PM

Students do not have to attend every day they are registered. However, we highly encourage students to stay for the full program time on the days they attend. There is no guarantee there will be office staff for early pick up.

🚗 Important Pickup Info: Students must be picked up promptly at 5:00 PM. There is no bus transportation following the after school program.

🚫 No Friday Program: If we have school on Friday, there will be no after school program that day.
