Last week, LA County schools came together at Polytechnic High School for the Spring 2026 Youth Summit!
Youth leaders gathered to learn more about Unified through student-led presentations showcasing how their school communities demonstrate inclusion and commitment to Unified values. Students also participated in fun activities like hopscotch, basketball, and more. 👥
We love seeing schools come together with a shared purpose and passion for inclusion. Thank you to all the students, staff, and teachers who helped make this event possible! 💜

2026 Educator’s Workshop Recap!

Last week we had the pleasure of hosting our second Unified Champion Schools Educator’s Workshop in Oceanside, California! More than 200 educators joined us, representing 44 school districts, 11 counties (across all five SOSC regions), and 116 schools. Each day was packed with engaging breakout sessions, inclusive activities, inspiring guest speakers, and so much more.

We were also honored to induct six outstanding educators into our UCS Hall of Fame. Congratulations to Angela Gay, Courtney Gillett, Brittany Schmitt, Nadia Roldan, Lori Schmersal, and Ashlee Moon!

A huge thank you goes out to our incredible presenters, guest speakers, Unified Generation Council members, and everyone who helped make this workshop such a memorable and impactful experience. It truly took a team to bring it all together.

We also want to extend our sincere gratitude to all the educators who attended. Your engagement, enthusiasm, and positive energy made this workshop truly special as we continue to learn and grow together in all things Unified.

We hope you thoroughly enjoyed your experience—because at the end of the day… Unified does start with U! 💙

🌟UGC Retreat Recap!🌟

This past weekend, we hosted our very FIRST Unified Generation Council (UGC) Retreat…and what an unforgettable experience it was!

With 20 incredible students and 9 dedicated mentors in attendance, the weekend was filled with inclusive activities, interactive workshop sessions, great food, AND most importantly, meaningful new friendships.

We’re so proud of the energy, ideas, and connections that emerged from the this retreat. Here’s to continuing to grow, lead, and unify together!💪🏼❤️
