Just a reminder to all of our Touchstone families that our new school year class schedule officially begins TONIGHT!

We’re starting the new schedule before everyone heads back to school so families and students have a chance to adjust to their new class times before school schedules, homework, activities, and everything else kicks into gear. One change at a time! 😊

Please double-check your class times before heading to the Academy tonight.

We’re excited to get everyone settled into the new routine and keep smiling, sweating, learning, and growing together! 🥋💪

🎬🍿 What an amazing night!

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out and made our end-of-summer Movie Night a SOLD OUT success! ❤️

Our Academy was packed with students, friends, families, laughter, and plenty of popcorn. Nights like this are about so much more than karate. They’re about bringing people together and enjoying the incredible community we have.

And let me tell you… everyone REALLY enjoyed the popcorn!

Apparently, so did the vacuum... 😂🍿

Pretty sure it ate more popcorn after Movie Night than most of the kids did. Some would say that it inhaled it… 🤷🏻‍♂️

Yes. Mrs. K probably rolled her eyes. 😂

But seriously, thank you to everyone who made lest night such a success. We had an absolute blast and are already looking forward to the next one! 🎥🍿❤️

The first part of our double-feature movie night is a success!
GOAT, snacks, fresh popcorn, and all the comfy seating you could wish for - it's a great night 🩷📽

Next up... a horror movie for our older crowd - Lights Out! 😱

Our National Competition Team is gearing up to travel to Minneapolis, Minnesota, for Diamond Nationals this October! 🥋💎

This group is working hard to bring their performances to life by becoming action actors, using powerful facial expressions, strong body movements, their voice, and confidence to tell a story through every performance.

🏆 The Charles D. Ashley Award

We are incredibly honored to share that Mrs. Koster has been selected as this year’s recipient of the Charles D. Ashley Award, an award recognizing service and dedication to the Sun Prairie community.

While this award may have one person’s name on it, it was absolutely not earned alone.

Touchstone has always believed that martial arts should reach far beyond kicking and punching. It should teach us to lead, to serve, to step up when we are needed, and to leave our community a little better than we found it.

And everything we have been able to do in Sun Prairie has been possible because there is an entire Touchstone family standing behind it.

Our incredible instructor team gives their time, energy, knowledge, and hearts to our students and community.

Our students continually show us what leadership and service can look like at every age.

Our families support our crazy ideas, show up when we ask for help, donate, volunteer, participate, encourage us, and trust us to keep finding new ways to make a difference.

And our community continues to open doors for us — welcoming us into schools, organizations, businesses, events, and programs and giving us opportunities to serve Sun Prairie in ways we never could have imagined when this journey began.

So while Mrs. Koster is incredibly humbled to have her name attached to the Charles D. Ashley Award, she says this one belongs to all of us.

To our Touchstone team, students, families, community partners, friends, and everyone who has helped us turn an idea into an opportunity to serve — thank you.

We are incredibly proud of what we have built together.

🥋 Great martial artists know how to lead — and how to learn.

We had an incredible first Adult Swim & Master's Circle team up class today with some incredible martial artists! A huge thank you to Lisa Tremblay & Noah Kozlowski for bringing your teams out to train with us at Touchstone

There was a LOT of talent on the floor today, but what impressed us even more was the attitude behind the it. These are skilled martial artists who can step up and be the coach, then turn around and be completely coachable themselves. They asked questions, shared knowledge, pushed one another, and trained with humility.

That is what martial arts should look like.

Different schools. Different instructors. Different experiences. But when good martial artists are willing to come together, train together, and learn from each other, everyone gets better.

We are incredibly proud of the martial artists we are developing at Touchstone — and just as excited about the connections, friendships, and relationships we continue to build with other great martial arts schools and instructors.

The martial arts world gets stronger when we build bridges instead of walls. 🥋🔥
