Lagom: Music and Yoga Education

Reading is super important for me. Here are some things I do to make sure it is always a priority:

1. We visit our library! In addition to checking out books, there are story times, a play area and other free resources. Libraries are great community centers and offer so much.
2. Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library provides free books to kids! We love when our book arrives each month (and I just signed up my newborn too)
3. Reading is in the routine but we make it work with our season of life. When I was pregnant and low energy, we would read after breakfast while my older son was in his high chair.
4. My husband and I both like to read. Our sons see us enjoying books!
5. Books are always the preferred gift in our house. We don’t have a lot of space for toys, so books are much easier to store. I also love seeing what books people pick.

It is starting to feel a little like fall. It seems like everyone is ready for the season change. I know I am ready for cool weather and feeling cozy. What about you?

Our fun list for September!

1. is hosting Baby and Me nature classes at . Excited to join with my oldest!
2. story times are hosted throughout Jefferson county. We are planning to attend one or two throughout out the month.
3. A fall coffee at in Cottage Grove is a must this September.
4. McCarthy Youth & Conservation Park has the perfect toddler playground that is perfect for my new walker!
5. Stroller and Safari at has been on my radar for a while and it is on the calendar this month!

The $5 Saturdays at .yoga are so fun! I’m teaching Prenatal/Postpartum flow at 9:30 (baby friendly) and we have a FREE talk with Dr. Emily Kraft from on pelvic floor and core connection at 10:45! Come join me!

2026 means the start of a new part of my business- The Balanced Activity Club!

The Balanced Activity Club is a printed play guide subscription for caregivers of young children. Each month, a themed workbook is mailed to members. These books contain engaging lessons in music, yoga, math, literacy, phonics, art and more.

Through March, anyone who joins the club will be a FOUNDER level member, locking in a $11 a month price for the whole of their membership. The price will increase to $12 in April 2026.

Members who join today will receive their first issue in FEBRUARY 2026.
