Thank you to everyone who came out and participated in last night’s HYPE Civic Engagement Meeting.

We appreciate our parents, families, community members, candidates, and leaders who took the time to show up, listen, share, and stay engaged. Local decisions affect our children, schools, neighborhoods, and everyday lives, and it matters when our community is in the room.

Now we’re looking ahead to HYPE's most exciting event of the year!

Lights On After School this Friday, October 9 at 6 PM at Jehovah Missionary Baptist Church, 609 Manning Ave., Sumter.

Ron Pace, School Board Candidate, Area 3

I thank God for my teachers who gave me support to make it through school when I felt there was no hope. I believe that the 3 most important people we need to support are our teachers, nurses, and single moms.

We know this is a busy week for HYPE families, but this moment matters.

Lights On Afterschool is more than an event. It is a chance for our children to see their parents, families, and community show up for them.

Our children need to know they are supported while they are still children. Now is the time to be present, to celebrate them, and to show them that what they are part of matters.

Please make plans to join us for Lights On Afterschool on Friday, October 9 at 6 PM at Jehovah Missionary Baptist Church.
