Our August XYZ meeting was a special one! David Bishop joined us and shared about his experiences in Kenya and Uganda with Water Mission out of Charleston and Kelly Green Global out of Florida. It was eye-opening to learn about the difficult conditions many people face and the work being done to meet both their physical and spiritual needs. Thank you David Bishop!

Our next XYZ meeting is Thursday, September 3 at 11:30 AM. Please note the time change! We'll begin with a church-provided pizza lunch in the Fellowship Hall before leaving at 12:20 PM for a guided tour of Temple Sinai.

Our tour begins at 12:30 PM and will cover Jewish history and its impact here in Sumter. We’ll also have the chance to tour the beautiful historic synagogue, built in 1912–1913. The tour will last approximately 45 minutes and is handicapped accessible.

Make plans to join us for a great afternoon together!

Nothing says summer like baseball with your church family!! Join us for Faith & Family Night with the Columbia Fireflies on Saturday, August 22. First pitch is at 6:00 PM, and tickets are $12 per person.

Stay after the game for a spectacular fireworks show!!

August 26 Deadline!

Our XYZ Fall Trip to Pigeon Forge for the Celebrators Senior Conference is coming up October 12–15! This year's conference features David Jeremiah and George W. Bush, with music from the Gaither Vocal Band, Steve Green, and Sandi Patty.

Registration: $25
Conference: $139
Lodging packages are also available and include conference admission. Transportation will be provided by church van with additional vehicles if needed.

Hotels and lodging packages are filling quickly, so please make plans soon! The deadline to reserve conference and lodging is August 26.
