June 19th is World Sickle Cell Day. Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) is the most common inherited blood disorder in the United States, affecting an estimated 100,00 Americans.
In honor of World Sickle Cell Day, the Sumter James R. Clark Memorial Sickle Cell Office invites those living with the disease, family, friends, and community to attend a "Drop-In" from 11am-1pm on June 19th at the South Sumter Resource Center, 337 Manning Avenue.
Refreshments will be served.
