She earned an Associate in Arts from Central Carolina Technical College and brings six years of experience to the classroom. Many of our students and families may already know her from her time serving as a substitute teacher at WH. We are excited to have her caring spirit and experience with our youngest Barons!

Creativity and innovation came to life at Robotics Camp! Led by our robotics teacher and young alumni, campers constructed robots, explored 3-D printing, and learned how technical skills and imagination work together through hands-on fun.

Please join us in welcoming Mrs. Haley Ray to the WH community as a 4th grade teacher. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in early childhood education from the University of South Carolina Beaufort, a Master of Arts in literacy from Grand Canyon University, and a Master of Science in curriculum and instruction from Western Governors University. With six years of teaching experience, Mrs. Ray brings a strong background in education to the classroom, and she will also continue sharing her talents as a coach for the softball program. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of South Carolina and a Master of Arts in English from Southern New Hampshire University, and she is pursuing a Ph.D. in English from Liberty University. Taking on the roles of voters, candidates, and public servants, 14 Barons attended the Palmetto Boys & Girls State conventions, sponsored by the American Legion & American Legion Auxiliary. Through mock elections, hands-on government simulations, leadership development, and fun activities, they gained a deeper understanding of citizenship while building confidence and making new friendships.

Creativity was the key ingredient at Sugar Rush Baking Camp! Held in the cafeteria, young Barons learned basic baking skills while using their imaginations to create a variety of colorful sweet treats. After a fun time in the kitchen, campers took home boxes filled with their delicious creations to share with their families.

Softball skills made a splash at camp! Led by coaches and varsity players, young Barons practiced sliding and diving with the help of a slip & slide, making it a fun way to build skills, stay active and cool off during summer camp.

A love of reading starts early at WH. At Clap & Tap Camp, our youngest Barons built foundational reading skills through stories, activities and time in the library. Led by a professional literacy consultant, campers also enjoyed plenty of fun outside while discovering the joy of reading from the very start.

Young Barons hit the field for football camp, one of 40 summer camps offered at WH. Led by coaches and members of the varsity football team, campers learned skills, drills and plays while enjoying plenty of fun, fresh air & activity outside.
