Mrs. Ardis’ 4th and 5th grade TLC science class planted their green bean seeds over a week ago on the 14th and have monitored their growth for a while. On Friday, the 21st, the tallest one was 26cm! The students replanted them and will continue to monitor their growth at home. Lord willing they will eventually get to pick, wash, and eat some green beans they grew themselves!

This week in Mrs. Ardis’s TLC classes students enjoyed engaging in fun, hands-on learning activities! In ELA-5, students played Sight Word Swat to practice recognizing sight words, then used a sentence-building game to create declarative, interrogative, imperative, and exclamatory sentences.

Early this week our Home Economics class was very excited to have their first lab! Mrs. Koehler helped by baking the 100 chocolate chip cookies that we were able to mix in our class period. It was exciting to put into practice what they have been learning about kitchen safety, measuring, and cleaning the kitchen. Of course, tasting the delicious cookies and sharing them with their teachers was a treat.
