What’s on my mind? Player development.

Xcelerate803 is more invested in player development than playbook learning.

We want your student athlete to understand the craft of the sport and position(s) they play. That means all the ins and outs of how to be successful in their field of play.

This is deeper and much more useful than just knowing a playbook, because there are so many playbooks. However, if they are playing their position and sport at a high level the playbook won’t matter because they will know the concepts of their position making it easy to transition.

That’s what we’re here for.

We’ve been working and the time is slowly approaching. Carolina Bullies are about to be on the road taking names and handing out L’s. We hope to see you there.

The Sumter Splash have started another season and are starting their fundraisers to help the athletes get their travel fees, uniforms, and expenses covered. Please support the team and the youth by purchasing a raffle ticket from a Sumter Splash player you may know. If you don’t know an individual playing for The Fam, then please contact Xcelerate. We work with several of the athletes of The Sumter Splash team and would appreciate the support.

This weekend was eventful. Coach Holland is coaching with the Carolina Bullies a new travel team in Sumter, SC. The 10-11 year old group was invited to the Atlanta Red Zone Games hosted by the Atlanta Falcons at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The Bullies got to get a tourn of the facilities, several NFL players and coaches were in attendance, and then they played in a NFL stadium.
This was truly an experience for all players involved. They ran 2 minute drill simulations for all teams, then rotated sides of the ball. The athletes got to see multiple teams’ offenses and defenses which is good for player development. The Bullies finished 3-1 for the day.
Xcelerate Athlete Wilson D. was with Coach Holland in Atlanta a day before the tournament. Taking the time to dive deeper into the world of football by visiting the ChicFilA College Football Hall of Fame and the self guided tour was full of fantastic moments and history from past to the present. Wilson had several pancake blocks and was able to utilize his speed at defensive end on the defensive side of the ball.
We can’t complain this weekend was a success.
