Miss Sumter High School, Kaylee Witherspoon, is spreading kindness and a love of reading this summer by donating books to several Little Free Library boxes throughout our community, some even featuring beautifully coordinated painted rocks to bring a few extra smiles along the way!

We hope everyone enjoys a wonderful summer break filled with exciting adventures, cherished memories, and plenty of time to get lost in the pages of a great book. Keep reading, keep dreaming, and keep shining!

Happy Summer, Gamecocks! β˜€οΈπŸ“–πŸ’™πŸ’›

We are incredibly proud to celebrate two outstanding Sumter High students who represented our school with excellence at Palmetto Boys State.

Quinn Posey was named Citizen of the Year, the highest honor awarded at the program. Selected by staff members and senior counselors from more than 1,100 young men from across South Carolina, Quinn was recognized as the best all-around citizen for his leadership, character, service, and integrity.

David Vizcarra was elected to serve as Superintendent of Education, one of only a handful of students chosen to hold a statewide leadership position during the week. This remarkable achievement reflects the confidence of his peers and his commitment to servant leadership.

A special thank you to Marshall Saunders, a proud Sumter High graduate, current Clemson student, and Palmetto Boys State counselor, for sharing this special moment with us. Marshall continues to exemplify the values of leadership and service that define our school community.

Once a Gamecock, Always a Gamecock. πŸ’™πŸ’›
The future is bright because of young leaders like these who continue to represent Sumter High School with pride wherever they go.
