MEET OUR ASSISTANT DIRECTOR🐝🍯

Hello, my name is Terry Lowery. I am a dedicated educator, lifelong learner, and proud mother of two adult children and grandmother to a growing family of six grandchildren. Family has always been at the heart of my life and has greatly influenced my passion for working with children and supporting their growth and development.

I hold an Associate Degree in Secretarial Science from Central Carolina Technical College, an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education from Coker College, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education (Cross-Categorical) from Grand Canyon University, where I graduated Magna Cum Laude. I am also an Alumni member of the Alpha Chi National Honor Scholarship Society.

With more than 25 years of experience in education, I have had the privilege of serving children, families, and school communities in a variety of roles. Throughout my career, I have remained committed to fostering positive learning environments, building strong relationships, and supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of every child. My educational background and extensive experience have equipped me with the leadership, organizational, and communication skills necessary to effectively support staff, families, and students as an Assistant Director.

I believe that education is about more than academics—it is about creating meaningful connections and helping others feel valued, respected, and supported. One quote that guides both my personal and professional life is:

Meet the Owner/Director🐝✨

Hello! My name is Alexis Glover, and I am the proud Owner and Director of The Hive Childcare Center. I am blessed to share life with my husband, Dezmon Glover, and together we have two wonderful children, Layla and Landon. Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, shopping, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Working with children has always been a true passion of mine. I am dedicated to creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where every child feels valued, supported, and encouraged to learn and grow.

I hold an Associate of Arts degree from the University of South Carolina, a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Ashford University, and a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Grand Canyon University. In addition, I actively participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in childcare and early childhood learning.

With over 10 years of experience in early childhood education, I have had the privilege of working with programs such as Early Head Start, Head Start, and the Sumter School District. These experiences have strengthened my commitment to providing high-quality care and educational experiences that support the growth and development of every child entrusted to our center.

🕒 Hours: 6:30 AM – 5:30 PM

Spots will be limited, so families are encouraged to join the waitlist early.

Just a reminder, we are not accepting vouchers at the moment💛

The Hive CCC Information🐝

🐝 Renovations are still being made but we are still on track for our summer opening😊 (June/July 2026)

🐝We will accept children ages 6 weeks to 4 years old.

🐝 We will open at 6:30am and close at 5:30pm Monday through Friday.

🐝 We will serve breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack.

🐝 We offer full time positions. If you would only like to bring your child a few days out of the week, that is totally fine! The weekly tuition will be the same as a full time child.

🐝 We are not currently accepting abc vouchers but plan to in the future💛

🐝 We offer a 10% off sibling discount!
