📚✏️ Week 2 of Summer Camp has officially begun at RoyalT Learning Center!

Our campers have been busy learning and growing each day. Mrs. Davis taught students the necessary strokes and techniques for cursive writing, helping them build strong handwriting foundations. Meanwhile, Mrs. Linda worked with students on identifying images and writing the correct numbers to represent what they saw, strengthening their early math and number recognition skills.

We are so proud of the hard work and enthusiasm our students continue to show. We can’t wait to see what the rest of the week brings! 🌟

We ended our first week of camp with a special trip to Chuck E. Cheese! The children had an amazing time playing games, laughing, and celebrating a great week together. 🎮🎈

It was the perfect way to wrap up a fun and successful first week of camp! Week 2, we are ready for you! 💛

🌳☀️ A Day at the Park ☀️🌳

Our campers enjoyed a wonderful day at the park! The children had fun running, playing, and exploring the outdoors while building friendships and staying active.

From games to laughter, it was a great way to learn through play and enjoy the fresh air together. 💛⚽️🤸‍♀️

📖✨ Ms. Washington read Good Morning Chick, a story about a chick who thought it would be able to cluck like the older hens right after hatching.

We discussed how sometimes we feel confident about new things, but they don’t always happen right away. That’s when perseverance matters and to keep trying until we get better.

Students reflected on things they have worked hard at and improved over time. Some even shared that they used to feel nervous speaking in front of others, but this lesson helped them gain confidence. 💬💛

🎨✨ We have a special guest artist, Ms. Are’yannah, come in each week to teach the children all about art and brush strokes. The students learned new techniques and had a wonderful hands-on experience creating their own work.

We are so grateful to have her share her time and talent with us! 💛

📚✨ Each day of summer camp, we begin with a read aloud and reflection time. Reflection is important because it helps students connect to the story, think deeper, and improve comprehension skills.

After reading, students drew and wrote a short summary showing the connection they made to the book. ✍️

Our students were fully engaged in some hands-on STEM activity that encouraged creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork. It was amazing to see them explore, ask questions, and work through challenges while having fun learning.
