Many of you already know these two ladies as they have been a part of the Anchored in Faith family since day 1…however it is now time to officially introduce them.

We are so excited to introduce our TODDLER TEACHER DUO-EMILY AND ALAINA!!!

Emily is Lead Toddler Teacher, she brings a warm, bubbly, loving personality to the children.

Alaina is a Toddler Teacher, she brings a calm, loving and caring spirit to the children.

Anchored in Faith is beyond blessed to have both of these wonderful ladies!!

With this amazing DUO, I know our toddler room will be filled with love, laughter, learning and lots of FUN!!!

⚓️ I FIGURED IT’S TIME I INTRODUCE MYSELF ⚓️

My name is Karen Phillips, and I am the Director of Anchored in Faith Learning Center at Northside! I have lived in Sumter, my entire life.

I am married to Robert Phillips and have two beautiful children (20 year old twins) Hazel-Grace and Kaleob Coker. There’s nothing better than slowing down and spending quality time with the people I love!

My passion for children started at the age of 10. I have always loved babysitting, spending time with children, helping with VBS and church nursery. Little did I know that God was preparing my heart for something much bigger.

I began working at Crosswell Baptist Church Daycare at age 19, and during my 10 years there, I had the opportunity to work in every area of the daycare (caregiver, teacher, finance, Assistant Director, and Director).

I attended Central Carolina Technical College (CCTC), where I earned my Associate Degree in Human Services/Early Child Development and graduated with honors.

Through all of these experiences, one thing has remained the same: My love for children. I believe every child deserves to feel safe, loved, valued, and encouraged to grow.

When the opportunity came to help create Anchored in Faith Learning Center at Northside, I knew this was something special and an answer to my prayers.

I pray that Anchored in Faith will be more than just a childcare center. I want it to be a place where children are loved like family, encouraged to learn, and taught about God’s love.

Opening Anchored in Faith has been a dream, a challenge, a blessing, and an incredible journey.

I am so thankful for everyone who has and continues to pray for us, support us, encourage us, and trust us with their precious children.

📚⚓️ I KNOW SCHOOL IS JUST STARTING, BUT WE’VE GOT YOU COVERED ON THE DAYS SCHOOL IS OUT!!💙

We know it’s hard to think about school holidays and days off when the school year has just begun, but those days will be here before you know it!

At Anchored in Faith Learning Center at Northside, we offer daily care when school is out and you still have to work! 🙌

Teacher workdays, holidays, spring break, summer break or those unexpected days off—we’re here to help keep your little ones safe, loved, and having fun while you’re at work! 💙⚓️
