Pleasant Street Preschool is a program for 3 year olds. It is a private preschool under the direction of the Pleasant Street Preschool Board.

The Sumner-Fredericksburg School District offers a 4 year old preschool program at Durant Elementary. This program is a part of the Statewide Voluntary Preschool Program.

Both programs utilize the same classroom at Durant Elementary. They are both taught by a licensed teacher and a teachers associate. The 3 year olds meet on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. The 4 year olds meet for half a day on Monday, Wednesday, Friday.
