Saving looks different at every age. The trick is to make it simple, visible, and age-appropriate.

For little ones, even using play money can help them understand what money is and how it works.

As they get older, introduce real money, talk about what you're buying, and start showing them what saving looks like.

And by the teen years, having their own savings account can give them a chance to practice making spending and saving decisions with their own money.

The goal isn't to make kids financial experts. It's to help them build money habits early.

Amazon Prime Day is almost here, so before you start adding things to your cart, let’s talk about the ways holiday shopping can get out of hand.

Here are 4 things to avoid:
🎁 Buying for yourself before you finish your gift list
📝 Forgetting what you already bought
💰 Shopping without a spending plan
💳 Using Buy Now, Pay Later and carrying those payments into the new year

Prime Big Deal Days are here, and I loved joining to talk about how to shop the event without letting the “deal” talk you into blowing your budget.

One of the tricks I shared: compare the product, not just the product name.

Retailers can use different names for the same or similar products, making it harder to spot a better price elsewhere. With Lens, you can search by image to find the same item at other retailers or discover a comparable option for less.

Mine might be splitting the bill evenly after ordering just water and a salad.

There are so many little money moments we don’t talk about the dinner you couldn’t really afford, the trip you said yes to, the money you lent when you needed it yourself.

I’ve been writing about those moments and the way money shows up in our friendships, relationships, and everyday decisions.

And now I’m looking for a few women to read what I’ve been working on before it’s released.
