Can you believe it's already been a week since the first day of school? It's been great to see our students and staff enjoying a great start to the school year. Superintendent Dixon even stopped by to welcome students back to SRI!

🌟 Is Your Child Ready to Soar? 🌟
We are excited to share that Gifted and Talented (GT) Identification Screening referrals are now open for the 2026–2027 school year!
Parents/guardians who would like to refer their child for GT screening may complete the GT Identification Screening Referral Request Form.
📅 Referral Deadline: September 15, 2026
If you believe your child may benefit from GT screening, we encourage you to complete the referral form by the deadline.

We are having our first School Improvement Council and Title I Planning meeting, followed by a Volunteer Information session on September 10th starting at 8:00 am.

All stakeholders are invited! This includes local businesses in our community. You don't have to have a student at SRI to come to the meeting. If you are a Sangaree community member, you are invited. Supporting our school helps to support our whole community!

Good morning SRI families!
If your student is a car rider in the afternoon, you must have a car tag to pick them up. If you do not have your car tag yet, please stop by the school today before dismissal. If you come through the pick-up line in the afternoon without one, we are going to kindly ask that you park and come inside to get a tag. We use a number system for dismissal, and it slows down the process when we have to stop and do an ID check in the car line.

Thank you for understanding that we are trying to make the car line go as fast as possible!

Meet the Teacher is ALMOST here!! Meet the Teacher will look different this year. We will not have a drop-in event.

Instead, it will be a time to come in and sit down in your student's classroom and hear from their teacher what to expect this school year.

You will get a chance to see what their day looks like at school, view their textbooks, receive your parent information binder, learn about homework expectations, ask questions, and more!

Please arrive at the designated time so we can begin each session on time.

**Please note that the Multipurpose room will be open before and after sessions to allow for transportation questions, dropping off medication to the nurse (front office), signing up for PTA, and picking up car tags.

Clothing and Book Swap at the Back to School Bash!

Bring all sizes of kids’ clothing and shoes, and gently used books to swap! We will have tables set up and volunteers ready to sort the items and allow you to trade in your child’s gently used items for others in their size!

You can bring the items that day, or drop them off at Sangaree Intermediate School from 8-3, Monday-Friday this week and next.

Join all 3 Sangaree Schools on August 8th from 10AM-2PM as we celebrate the start of the school year with a Back to School Bash! We will have food trucks, book and clothing swap tables, crafts, music, relay races, STEM activities, information tables, and MORE! We can't wait to see all of our Sangaree Families!
