Good News Shout-out for George H. Mikula!
We LOVE seeing our former Tiger Cubs do GREAT things! Once a Tiger Cub, always a Tiger Cub! George H. Mikula has been a valuable part of our summer moving crew! Check out what he has been up to over the last few years since elementary school:
โAs an Alumni of Alston-Bailey, I have been doing a tremendous amount of hard work through middle school and now high school. In middle school, I was part of Beta Club and Student Council. I am a rising senior at Summerville High School while as of recently, a student at Trident Technical College where I will be working as an apprentice with the North Charleston Police Department for 2-years. Before I got this apprenticeship, I discovered a passion I did not know I had, which was Mechatronics. In that class, I was able to learn how to improve inventions while also learning how production/manufacturing lines operated. I was fortunate to complete all four levels of this class before my teacher retired. While achieving these accomplishments, I was given amazing opportunities to create strong bonds with my teachers that supported and helped me reach my goals of having honor roll in my past 2 years at Summerville. If I were to give any advice to anyone struggling in school, I would tell them to not be afraid to ask your teachers for help, because if you show an initiative in your education, your teachers will be more than happy to help you reach your goals in your education and to help prepare you for life while at the same time, enjoying life while you can.โ
Way to go, George! Thanks for working on our summer moving crew! Thanks also for sharing your journey with us! Continue to strive for EXCELLENCE!

Good News Shout-out for Jasmine Bryant!
We LOVE seeing our former Tiger Cubs do GREAT things! Once a Tiger Cub, always a Tiger Cub! Jasmine Bryant has been a valuable part of our summer paint crew! Check out what she has been up to over the last few years since elementary school:
โMy last year at Alston Bailey was during Covid and after finishing fifth grade at home, I transitioned to Alston Middle School where I was introduced to a variety of classes. I was able to continue choir, a passion I discovered while at Alston Bailey. I graduated eighth grade with five high school credits and received numerous awards. I formed long lasting relationships with staff from Alston who still play a role in my journey today. I've also enjoyed my time so far at Summerville High School and have accomplished many things. I have taken many rigorous courses and have earned several college credits going into my senior year. I have received the Board of Trustees Award every year and was selected for All State choir twice. I'm also very involved with the school and my community through clubs such as Beta Club, Mu Alpha Theta, and the National Honor Society. This past year I was a Junior Marshall at graduation and qualified for Palmetto Fellows, South Carolina's top academic scholarship. Numerous teachers have assisted and supported me through my time at Summerville High, especially those I've had for consecutive years. The friends I have made during and since my time at Alston Bailey along with the relationships I've formed are ones I intend to continue carrying past my academic career.โ
Way to go, Jasmine! Thanks for working on our summer paint crew! Thanks also for sharing your journey with us! Continue to strive for EXCELLENCE!

Good News Shout-out for Maya Rosado!
We LOVE seeing our former Tiger Cubs do GREAT things! Once a Tiger Cub, always a Tiger Cub! Maya Rosado has been a valuable part of our summer paint crew! Check out what she has been up to over the last few years since elementary school:
โEver since I left Alston Bailey, Iโve had many achievements throughout my time in high school. Iโve received awards for my academic accomplishments. Iโve joined a national club called beta club where itโs given me the chance to volunteer for the community and itโs taught me a lot. The experiences Iโve had throughout my life after elementary is truly amazing as itโs been able to shape me into the person I am today. I wouldnโt be where I am today without the support Iโve received from both my friends and teachers.โ
Way to go, Maya! Thanks for working on our summer paint crew! Thanks also for sharing your journey with us! Continue to strive for EXCELLENCE!
