RMSA Student Planner for the week of September 7th :

Monday, September 7th is Labor Day. There is no school.

Tuesday, September 8th is a B Day.

Wednesday, September 9th is an A Day. Interims will be sent via email. It is Fall Picture Day! Come ready to look your best, but please don't wear green because of the photography backdrop. There will be an SIC meeting at 8 AM via Zoom. Girls' volleyball has a home game vs. AMS at 6 PM.

Thursday, September 10th is a B Day.

Friday, September 11th is an A Day. Wear red, white, and blue for Patriot Day. Medieval Market will be open at ILT.

Reminders: Car rider drop off begins at 8:50 am. The school day begins at 9:15 am and students are dismissed at 4:00 pm. Students may not stay on campus after dismissal. Bell schedule(s) may be found on our website.

🏀⚡ Drop It Like It’s Energy! ⚡🎾

Our seventh-grade scientists put potential and kinetic energy into action today during the Ball Bounce Lab!

Working collaboratively, students dropped different types of balls from various heights, measured how high each ball bounced, and recorded their results. They investigated how potential energy transforms into kinetic energy and examined how an object’s type and starting height affect its bounce.

This hands-on experience allowed students to practice making observations, collecting accurate measurements, analyzing data, and working together through assigned laboratory roles. We loved seeing our students so engaged in the scientific process! 🔬📏

Tuesday, September 1st is a B Day. Kool Katz will be sold in the bus loop at ILT.

Wednesday, September 2nd is an A Day. Wear your RMSA gear to support our volleyball team! PTSA pizza will be sold at ILT. Girls volleyball game @ EEMS at 6 PM.

Thursday, September 3rd is a B Day. Wear your favorite country gear or Dolly-inspired outfit in memory of Dolly Parton.

Friday, September 4th is an A Day. Wear your favorite college football t-shirt! Medieval Market open at ILT.

📸 RMSA Picture Day is Coming!

Get those smiles ready! 😁 Picture Day at Rollings Middle School of the Arts is Wednesday, September 9, 2026. All students will have their school picture taken.

📅 Picture Day: Wednesday, September 9
🔄 Retake Day: Thursday, October 15
👕 Important: Please DO NOT wear green, as a green screen will be used to allow families to select photo backgrounds.

About one week after Picture Day, families will be able to preview, customize, and order photos online through JostensPIX. Orders will be shipped directly to your home.

🔑 RMSA Event Code: FE360826

No payment or photo package selection is needed on Picture Day. Families can choose the photos and packages they would like once pictures are available online.

🌸🔬 Science in Action! 🔬🌸

Our 8th grade scientists got hands-on today as they completed a flower dissection! Students carefully examined each part of the flower and learned how the structures work together to help plants reproduce. 🌱

From petals and sepals to stamens and pistils, our students put their observation and investigation skills to work! What a great way to bring science to life!

Our 6th grade scientists got hands-on as they explored the fascinating concept of surface tension! Using just pennies and drops of water, students investigated how many drops they could carefully place on a penny before the water spilled over. 🪙💦

Through observation, prediction, and experimentation, students saw firsthand how water molecules stick together and create surface tension. What a fun way to make science come alive! 🧪✨

Way to go, 6th grade scientists! Keep questioning, exploring, and discovering! 👏🔬
